Bad Boys Batucata - Beginning on the streets in St.Kilda as a dynamic busking band, the Bad Boys have come a long way. Regular gigs at the Espy and other groovy places around town entertain crowds of people with their intense Latin drumming vibe.

The Bird (Sydney) (live) - An awesome drum n' bass duo that will be one of the highlights of BBT99. The Bird is a fusion between electronic dance music and live performance. Being 100% live has brought an improvisational edge to the communication between crowd and performer. Featuring Ben Walsh from Pablo Picasso, who is considered as a leading drummer this group provide wicked grooves that give the dance floor no option but to boogie like crazy.

Trans Wold Noise (Sydney) - A beautiful blend of world sounds with layers of electronic and drum n' bass running through the mix. Featured in the lineup is Babs (ex Cranky) and the bass player from the Whitlams.

Ruby Fruit Jungle - Having just toured the world as ambassadors of Australian music, all girl drumming group bring together the sounds from all over the globe to make something uniquely Australian. Some of their Recent gigs include, The Hong Kong handover Ceremony, Page and Plant, and Glastonbury Festival.

Ping - Dynamic global beat, world trance, dance, ambient, pumping grooves. Rare combination of 2 drummers, violinist, keys, bass and didgeridoo. Recently playing at Vibes, there is a strong underground vibe for this band who’s green magma gigs are starting to make waves in the scene.

Ganga Giri (Byron) - - Renown for his pumping percussive Didj grooves, Ganga's energetic performances blend the ancient traditional sounds of the earth with the electronic dance rhythms of the now. A percussionist from the age of 10, Ganga's influences range from afro percussion, kit drumming, reggae, rap, North Indian folk, Indigenous Australian, and dance Trance music. Ganga has played at some of the biggest festivals in the world such as WOMAD, Edinburgh, Vancouver, Woodford and through out America, the UK Canada and Japan. He is truly an inspirational performer to the world music scene. One of the major performances was for the Sultan of Brunei.

Lothlorien - This group is an established 5-piece band who composes and performs contemporary music, specializing in instrumental works influenced by world music. Their music draws on, and has been influenced by the increasingly multicultural nature of Australia. After four years of live performing, Lothlorien have recently released their third CD. They are a popular and respected name within the International Folk Festival circuit, and have performed at over fifteen major festivals.

Half Yellow- Dub trio that features members from High Pass Filter. As the opening act on the bill they will kick start the day off with some gentle dub grooves that will set the vibe for the afternoon and take the crowd into the evening with the DJ sounds of DJ Delay, one of the members of the band.

Tumbarumba - Melbourne’s larges Jamming band with up to 50 drummers playing Brazillian Street music. Some of their gigs have included, opening the Brunswick street party, World Cup Qualifier (MCG), Western Bulldogs Cultural Day (Western Oval). This group of fiery drummers is comes from the ranks of VA Lamberti’s Percussion School.
