Funk This is the second year of the Melbourne Funk Festival which incorporates a diverse range of groove orientated elements - there will be 5 areas operating including 2 stages, 2 DJ areas and a market stall area. On Stage : Playing diverse funk influenced music from acid jazz, blues, hip hop, hardcore, reggae and dub on two stages will be : Featuring : Brown Hornet, Raw Sugar (Syd), RumbleFish, Banana Oil, Kaleidavibe (Byron), Sedan, Heavy Earth, Paradox (Adel), Big Charlie, Funken Wagnells, Hot Pudding, Skattered, Smirkin, Bakehouse. Funk DJ Areas : Area 1 will focus on old school, hip hop, rare grooves, acid jazz, dubby electro, and jazzy electro sounds : Featuring : Takse, Peril, Ransom, Voiteck, Chewy, I-Spy, Heavy G, Ollie Bobbit, Sam G, Rash Funk Terriaki Anarki Sarki : Area 2 will be an assault of hip grinding, ear blasting funked up acid break beat techno care of the crew from well known Melbourne club - Terriaki Anarki Sarki Featuring : Dee Dee, Slieker, Slack Funk Market Stall Area There will be a range of activities in this area ranging from Chai / Tea / Coffee tent, Friends of the Earth information Booth, Percussion workshops, fire twirling exhibitions, and range of other interactive stalls. There will also be regular performances from fringe festival performers and many other happenings throughout the day. Funk
