South Australian reggae band the Radics formed in late 1987 and focused upon the desire to play original music, while leaning away from the predominantly "rock" scene of the time. Songwriters Bruce Gilbert and Mark Dread both contributed a prolific catalogue of material, and came together with other musicians to form what would become a long adventurous relationship. Because of the diverse influences of the eleven piece outfit, Radics went on to develop into an interesting hybrid of rock, soul, and reggae that was to attract great public and industry support. They have become increasingly popular in their hometown of Adelaide, whilst building a strong fan base in Melbourne and Sydney. The band are currently working on songs for a new album and planning a tour of Australia's east-coast.
